Volunteering For The Buttery
Volunteering is also an excellent way to make a contribution to people in your local community by helping people who need a hand.
Fellowship Volunteer Driver are members of the fellowship who are willing to drive manual buses from Binna Burra to meetings.
Please see the link to the application form below.
A current Police check is required.
To fulfil its life-changing mission of helping teenagers and adults who may have mental health or substance misuse issues, The Buttery relies on the generosity of volunteers and student placements. Student placements are limited.
- Volunteer drivers who take part in 12-Step program meetings drive Buttery residents to meetings.
- Other volunteers take part in student placements to help advance their career development while helping others.
Student Work Placement
Many students contact us who need work placement. We currently support medical students, masters students in social work and psychology and AOD and Mental health students. While we endeavour to support students where possible, places are very limited.
If you would like to be considered for placement later in the year, please complete the Work Placement details on the volunteer application form on this page. We do not have the resources to provide internal clinical supervision, so if you require clinical supervision as part of your placement, this must be sourced externally or provided by your university.
Police checks and working with children checks are required for most roles.
